Selain beberapa pesawat tersebut Dirgantara Indonesia juga sedang menjajaki untuk membangun pesawat C295 (CN235 versi jumbo) dan N219, serta kerja sama dengan Korea Selatan dalam membangun pesawat tempur siluman KFX.

Ide pembentukan MK merupakan salah satu perkembangan pemikiran hukum dan kenegaraan modern yang muncul di abad ke-20.

Setelah melalui pembahasan mendalam, DPR dan Pemerintah menyetujui secara bersama UU Nomor 24 Tahun 2003 tentang Mahkamah Konstitusi pada 13 Agustus 2003 dan disahkan oleh Presiden pada hari itu (Lembaran Negara Nomor 98 dan Tambahan Lembaran Negara Nomor 4316).Dua hari kemudian, pada tanggal 15 Agustus 2003, Presiden melalui Keputusan Presiden Nomor 147/M Tahun 2003 hakim konstitusi untuk pertama kalinya yang dilanjutkan dengan pengucapan sumpah jabatan para hakim konstitusi di Istana Negara pada tanggal 16 Agustus 2003.Lembaran perjalanan MK selanjutnya adalah pelimpahan perkara dari MA ke MK, pada tanggal 15 Oktober 2003 yang menandai mulai beroperasinya kegiatan MK sebagai salah satu cabang kekuasaan kehakiman menurut ketentuan UUD 1945.

TRUCKS: Short Drive: The Volvo Trucks FH 440 Prime Mover With Tanker Trailer - I drive one on a Racetrack in Thailand

The Kaeng Krachan Circuit on the outskirts of Hua Hin, Thailand is a wonderful place to be driving anything. It is about 3.2km in length and has tight turns and undulations. It has nicely cambered corners, dips and crests that one can play with whilst driving on it. 

Volvo Trucks let me drive one of their prime movers on this race track. I would have liked a nice hot hatch but beggars can't be choosers. So thank you so very, very much whilst we are at it. The Volvo Truck in question was the latest Volvo FH 440 Sleeper Cab. The 440 means 440hp and about 2200nm torque from a Volvo D13A 13,000cc in-line 6 cylinder turbocharged engine. It runs the power it makes through a Volvo I-shift automated transmission unit that has 12 forward speeds. There are a heck of a lot of power and drivetrain configurations for the Volvo FH, from the 13liter 400hp engine to a 16liter 610hp /2800nm  trucker's dream machine special coupled with either the I-shift automatic, a 12 speed and a 14speed manual transmissions to play around with. 

Other stuff are good too. With extra low to high riding chassis heights, axle reduction gear setups, fuel tank sizes from 150liters to 900liters (600 seems to be the norm), Volvo Dynamic steering, Electronic controlled Brake System (EBS), Stretch Brake (trailer brake), hydraulic retarder and automatic park brake release (on the I-Shift gearbox only). All in all, the tech inside these FH series trucks are impressive.

Inside the FH series is also a nice place to be if you are a long haul driver. We Malaysians do not get the FH series officially at the moment and only the FM and FMX ranges for now. I suppose this is because the FH are the full monty long haul trucks that are great for intercontinental distances or cross border transport. The FM trucks are good enough for use within Peninsular Malaysia or Sabah - Sarawak routes. But a fully specific long haul truck offers much more in terms of driver comfort that it even makes sense for companies to use the Volvo FH on all trips that criss-cross the Malaysian Peninsular or that cross Sabah and Sarawak. The added height of the FH's cabin offers better driver mobility and usable space as well as more visibility outside. More comfort means less fatigue. Better for those trips anywhere.

Trucks and lorries have come a long way since the days where you see them using wooden cabins, doors without windows and makeshift steel framed, rubber strands casual recliners as their driver's seat. Everything is now done in comfort for long hauls. You only need to climb up three steps into the FH 440 and you're the king of the road. Everything is automated. The I-shift is very intelligent as its namesake. The Volvo Dynamic Steering is really dynamic and as per their advertisements, a hamster could actually turn the steering wheel. Effort is minimised so that the driver can pay more attention to the surroundings. 

Speaking of visibility from the cabin, the view from the driver's seat is excellent. It offers a clear view of things and all the wing mirrors that allows you to keep an eye on the tanker trailer that sits behind you. And rest of the interior is well thought of. This is my first time getting into a Volvo FH as well as driving it and everything easily falls into place. The instrument cluster is very legible with all important information clear to see (this is somehow better than Volvo Truck's closest competitor actually). Everything is ergonomically sound once you're in the driver's seat. Dig those red seatbelts too. Funky. So long haul should be far less stressful in my opinion.

The Kaeng Krachan Circuit is tight and meant for smaller vehicles. So it was not a place for speeding especially with a truck pulling a loaded trailer. But you can feel that 10 tons of water out back is a walk in the park for something with over 2,000Nm of torque. The shifts are quite smooth once you press the accelerator and get underway. Without the trailer in tow this could be ballistic. And very scary too. Or powahhhhhhhhhhh down the straight. Hmm...ideas... And here we were in Thailand for the Volvo Trucks Asia Pacific Fuelwatch Challenge 2015. Oh well, safety first. And half a million Ringgit worth of truck to think about too. So instead of aiming for the apex, you don't. When you drive a truck pulling a trailer it is wide, wide, wide and make sure that the trailer stays on the tarmac instead of eating grass. Or barrier. Or cone. Or...

So if you get into a situation, the brakes on this Volvo FH work well. On a downhill stretch of the circuit the EBS working in tandem with the truck's ABS would safety modulate the truck I was driving with a ten ton load of water (simulating load carried whilst on a commute). Steering is light and responsive and it is easy to place the truck and its trailer with ease on the tight race track (thanks to the properly positioned wing mirrors - always remember you are driving something with a trailer out back as well as your width, girth and center of gravity). 

If you were driving this rig on the highways of Malaysia or Thailand it would be quite nice in something like this. Something that all truckers should aspire for. A drive in a well equipped long haul specced truck. Now go lobby your bosses for something like this as I heard that Volvo Trucks is thinking of bringing in the FH into Malaysia soon (especially if the open border trade agreements regarding AFTA comes into play).

I really dig the red seatbelts!!!!

Instead of hitting the apex you have to go wide, wide, wide so that the trailer can have enough room to turn!!!

Recently, five lucky Malaysians had won the grand prizes of the Shell Advance Asia Talent Cup promotional contest held on the 31st of May to 30th July 2015. The lucky five won an all-expense paid trip to Zhuhai, China to catch the fourth round of the 2015 Shell Advance Asia Talent Cup (SAATC) motorcycle racing championsion which was held recently. I suppose you can consider them the extra support or cheerleaders for the seven Malaysian riders competing in that round. 

A week after the Grand Prize winners had enjoyed their trip to China, Consolation prize winners were treated to a fun day out on the tracks at the Elite PLUS Speedway Go-Kart Track at Shah Alam.  They were given an opportunity to go on laps on the 150cc MiniGP bikes (which  look absolutely tiny on some of the prize winners) or go-karts, compliments of Shell Advance.  Some of the Malaysian riders taking part in the 2015 SAATC also came for a meet-and-greet session and to train at the track.

Kuala Lumpur, October 2, 2015 – Five lucky Malaysians had the opportunity to catch the best young Asian riders in action at the fourth round of the 2015 Shell Advance Asia Talent Cup (SAATC) motorcycle racing championship in Zhuhai International Circuit, China, recently.

The five were Annuar bin Chik, 49, from Selangor; Khoo Hong Lee, 59, from Johor; Ng Hock Yong, 44, from Johor; Ng Sow Keng, 54, from Selangor; and Rusainy Zaman bin Jusoh, 41, from Pulau Pinang. As Grand Prize winners of the 2015 SAATC promotion held from 1st May till 30th July, 2015, they had received an all-expense paid trip to Zhuhai to lend support to the seven Malaysian riders competing in that round.

Nineteen year-old rider Adam Norrodin gave hope for a Team Malaysia victory with pole position during qualifying for Race 1 but a mistake in the actual race meant that it was not to be.  In Race 2, he again performed strongly and was in second position for much of the race only to finish fourth in the end.  Sixteen year-old Helmi Azman was the next best performer with 8^th placing in both races followed by lanky Fakhrusy Rostam who was placed 10^th.  Shafiq Rasol and Azroy Anuar had missed fortunes when both crashed in the first race although the latter performed credibly by finishing in 9^th place in Race 2.

A week after the Grand Prize winners had enjoyed their trip to China, Consolation prize winners were treated to a fun day out on the tracks at the Elite PLUS Speedway Go-Kart Track at Shah Alam.  They were given an opportunity to go on laps on MiniGP bikes or go-karts, compliments of Shell Advance.  Some of the Malaysian riders taking part in the 2015 SAATC also came for a meet-and-greet session and to train at the track.

Shell Lubricants General Manager Leslie Ng, said that the consumer contest further strengthened the brand’s association with motorsports.

Dua kapal Pelni, KM Rinjani dan KM Kambuna dihibahkan kepada TNI-AL. Penyerahannya dilakukan pada 13 Mei 2005 di Komando Lintas Laut Militer Tanjung Priok. KM Kambuna diganti namanya menjadi KRI Tanjung Nusanive (KRI 973), dan KM Rinjani menjadi KRI Tanjung Fatagar (KRI 974).

Scania Driver Competitions 2014/2015 Malaysia-Singapore - Champions crowned.

Yesterday, on the 1st of October 2015, a total of 16 finalists from the bus and truck category competed in what Scania believes to be the toughest practical finals that they have organised to date in the Scania Driver Competitions. Eight truck and eight bus drivers duked it out against each other in their respective categories in the Scania Driver Competitions 2014/2015 Malaysia-Singapore and as in any competition, there can be only one winner (for each category of course).

Mr. Saiful Nizam Abd Aziz of Bank Simpanan Nasional was the champion in the bus category whilst Mr. Abdul Aziz Amir of Shaziman Transport Sdn Bhd was crowned champion in the truck category. Each champion took home RM10,000 in cash, a championship trophy and a certificate of achievement. The companies they represented were awarded a RM5,000 worth Scania service voucher. 

In order to win, both Saiful Nizam (pictured above holding his trophy) and Abdul Aziz (pictured below) and the other finalists were shortlisted from a total of 1,005 participants during an initial theory submission stage with participants coming from both Malaysian and Singapore. The participation numbers were up by 50%. This meant that there are more commercial drivers aware of such competitions that ultimately equip them with experience, knowledge and a chance to test themselves with each other. In fact, there was a finalist in the bus category, Mr.Mohd Ridzuan Abdul Rahman who entered this competition on his own initiative (which includes time away from work and also money to attend the event). It shows the professionalism and dedication of the people who are actually the backbone of the regional road transport industry.

The Scania Driver Competitions 2014/2015 Malaysia-Singapore finals were held over two days over at the Sepang International Circuit, drivers at the finals had to go through the fuel economy driving test and the defensive driving test on the first day of the finals. The second and final day, they had to go through the 'Knock-the-cone-and-head precision test (where the drivers have to drive and actually touch the cone/head without making it topple over within a specific time) and the 'Boardwalk' obstacle test (reverse slalom through a few cones then reverse whilst ensuring the truck or bus' tyres hit three planks laid out behind the trucks which were staggered to one side one after the other squarely. It was tough, but these finalists are built of tougher material.

Now an event like this would not have been possible with good partnerships and sponsors. Tyre company Michelin Malaysia was the main sponsors and such a driver competition was a great way for Michelin to showcase the capabilities of their tyres in terms of the important stuff like safety, comfort, longevity and fuel economy.
