MARCHIONNE: “A GREAT SUCCESS”

“An unforgettable experience to have 50,000 fans here”

Scarperia, 8 November – “This event has been amazingly successful, attracting a crowd of 50,000 fans to Mugello. FINALI MONDIALI – F1 CLIENTI AND XX PROGRAMMES LIGHT UP MUGELLO

Scarperia, 7 November - A unique sound, extraordinary power, and many exceptional cars: In a nutshell this is what two of Ferrari’s most exclusive programmes, F1 Clienti and XX Programmes (pic above), are offering.

F1 Clienti cars doing some laps

Nearly 15 years of victories. The cars that have written the history of Formula 1, from the F300 of 1998 to the F150° Italia of 2011 are taking to the track at the World Finals in Mugello, thrilling fans with the characteristic sound of their eight and ten-cylinder aspirated engines. Customers who have a chance to drive them at the World Finals will have the assistance of some very special tutors such as Marc Gene, James Calado and Giancarlo Fisichella. The F1 Clienti will be key players on Sunday, when an expected record number of spectators will certainly appreciate the roar of the engines of some of the most successful cars in Formula 1 history.

Extraordinary power. The XX Programmes cars will join the F1 Clienti on track at the Finali Mondiali. These unique and extraordinary cars are something that only Ferrari could have come up with. The cars of the XX Programmes can only be driven on track, but they are not approved for any championship. The first of the line was the FXX of 2005, built on the basis of the Enzo, which was followed by the 599XX and then, starting this year, the FXX K, a car as beautiful as it is powerful, with 1050 horsepower and equipped with extraordinary technology that also takes advantage of the experience gained in Formula 1 with hybrid technology.

FINALI MONDIALI – OFF WE GO!

Four days packed with events from Thursday to Sunday

Scarperia, 5 November – The Finali Mondiali at Mugello has kicked off with the first Ferrari Challenge practice sessions. The Finali Mondiali, from Thursday to Sunday, will offer enthusiasts and fans all the passion, excitement and technology that only the Prancing Horse can provide.

Three series of the Challenge. The menu is full of interesting activities, starting with the track events. Indeed, Mugello will host the final two rounds of the three series of the world’s most famous brand: the Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific series. Then on Sunday all the drivers will be on track for the two world championship finals, the Trofeo Pirelli (divided into Pirelli and Pirelli Am) and the Coppa Shell.

F1 Clienti and XX Programmes. Then there will then be the F1 Clienti and the cars of the XX Programmes. The F1 Clienti will offer a glimpse of the Ferraris that competed in Formula 1 from 1998 to 2011, while the FXX K will do the lion’s share of the work for the XX Programmes. The car, derived from the special limited LaFerrari series, was presented for the first time at last year’s Finali Mondiali and in this edition will make its debut in the hands of customers.

The Scuderia and the rest. But the Finali Mondiali is not just about what happens on track. There will be a lot to see in the paddock, starting with the current Ferrari range, including the new special limited F12tdf series. Then there will be the classic Ferrari GTs, with cars ranging from the 1950s to the 458 Italia which ends its competitive career this year in the GTE-Pro series of the World Endurance Championship (WEC). And with this in mind, Mugello will also see the new 488 GTE and GT3, a car whose two versions will compete in next year’s WEC and the main GT championships.

#ReadySetBuild - Shell officially launched its new Shell V-Power LEGO Collection at Sunway Pyramid today. This is an exclusive range of small LEGO sets that are based around Ferrari and Shell respectively. The collection was created in collaboration with Ferrari and the LEGO group and introduces six new models - four iconic Ferrari cars (with a tiny pull-back motor in them), a Finish Line and Podium set which includes a LEGO minifigure (minifig), and a set of the Shell Station modelled after the one at Ferrari's Foriano Circuit - Ferrari's private racetrack in Maranello. The Shell Station set comes with a Shell Scientist minifig.

Tuan HJ Azman Ismail (pictured above, in the middle), Managing Director of Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn Bhd and Shell Timur Sdn Bhd said that Shell are excited that through the Shell V-Power LEGO Collection, they can bring people together. He said that "Motorists, race fans, toy enthusiasts, children and adults alike (will) make Shell a happy pit stop for all. We believe that the simple act of building can be more meaningful and fun if shared with others. Our hope is for our customers to not simply build the Shell V-Power collection but form closer bonds in the process"

He further added that many Malaysians had played with LEGO bricks when they were young. " So why not relive the good old days with friends? With the school holidays fast approaching, perhaps parents can spend more time with their children by building Ferrari collectibles and LEGO playsets" he added.

So how do you go about getting these unique, LEGO sets? You need a minimum purchase of RM40 of Shell V-Power and Shell FuelSave fuel or purchase a 4litre pack of Shell Helix motor oil. Once that purchase is made, you will be able to purchase one of the six LEGO model sets which are priced at RM9.90 and RM13.90. It is RM9.90 if you pump RM40 worth of V-Power 97 or V-Power Racing or buy 4liters of Shell Helix HX5 or 4 liters of HX7. You will have to fork out RM13.90 for each LEGO set if you pump RM40 worth of Shell FuelSave 95 or Shell Diesel.

There is also a limited edition Shell Tanker for RM9.90 with every RM40 pump of Shell V-Power or if you purchase either 4liters of Shell Helix HX5 and HX7. You can however get the Shell Tanker free if you purchase the 4 liter pack of Shell Helix Ultra engine oil. The Shell Tanker should only be available after the 13th of November 2015.

Speaking about the LEGO model sets release dates, the models were made available from the 1st of November 2015. The first Shell V-Power LEGO collectible sets have been released so far and new models will be released every Sunday - from the 1st of November 2015 to the 13th December 2015. It would be available at all Shell stations for purchase until 31st January 2016 or while stocks lasts.

Customers are also encouraged to share on Social Media (on INSTAGRAM) photos of their Shell V-Power LEGO models and their building moments (family bonding memories, friends building the sets. etc) by using the hashtag #ReadySetBuild and #my to the photos. There may be some interesting events coming on soon with regards to the photo sharing activities, so stay tuned folks.

Aside from the above, Shell is also inviting everyone to visit the Shell V-Power LEGO activity centres at Sunway Pyramid, Petaling Jaya on the 5th to 8th November 2015 and at the Gurney Plaza, Penang on the 12th to 15th November 2015 where they will get a chance to view half sized (1:2 scale) LEGO brick based Ferrari models as well as the full sized, 1:1 scale Ferrari LEGO model car. The half sized cars are larger versions of the four Ferrari cars which you can buy - the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, the Ferrari F138 F1 car, the Ferrari 250GTO and the Ferrari 512S. But I like the full sized LEGO model of the Ferrari F1 car. It uses LEGO bricks for the body and aero bits, with a replica of the carbon fiber driver's tub, real suspension parts sticking out of the LEGO shell. Pretty interesting. Since it took 214,950 LEGO bricks and about 810 days to build.

There will also be roving trucks that will bring the Shell V-Power LEGO experience to the public with the life sized LEGO model of the Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 Car too. The Truck will display the car in the Klang Valley, Ipoh, Melaka and other seclected locations throughout Malaysia.
